What Vidalista Black is and how it works

Vidalista Black is a tablet marketed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men. It contains tadalafil, a selective phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor. By supporting nitric oxide mediated relaxation of penile blood vessels, it helps increase blood flow to the erectile tissue. When sexual stimulation occurs, this effect can make it easier to achieve and maintain an erection.

Although ED is the main indication, tadalafil in general may also be used for benign prostatic hyperplasia and pulmonary arterial hypertension. These latter uses have specific dosing regimens different from ED. If you are considering off-label use, discuss this with a licensed prescriber and review contraindications and interactions first.

How to take it

Swallow the tablet whole with water. It can be taken with or without food. A lighter meal may help it act a bit faster. Do not crush or split the tablet.

Important safety note for the USA: the highest FDA-approved on-demand tadalafil dose for ED is 20 mg once per 24 hours. Vidalista Black is labeled as 80 mg, which is well above approved doses and may raise the risk of side effects. If you have a valid prescription for tadalafil, your prescriber will typically recommend one of the following evidence-based options:

  • On-demand: 10 mg or 20 mg at least 30 minutes before sexual activity, not more than once a day.
  • Daily use: 2.5 mg to 5 mg taken once daily at the same time each day.

Precautions

Before using tadalafil-containing products, consider the following:

  • Grapefruit or grapefruit juice should be avoided because of potential increase in drug levels.

Possible side effects

Most side effects are mild and short-lived. Seek urgent help if you experience chest pain, sudden vision or hearing loss, an erection lasting more than 4 hours, or severe allergic reaction.

Drug and food interactions

Missed dose advice

On-demand use: there is no scheduled dose. If you forget, take it only when needed and not more than once daily.

Daily use: take the tablet when you remember, unless it is close to your next scheduled time. Do not double up to make up for a missed dose.

Overdose information

Symptoms may include severe dizziness, fainting, painful prolonged erection, or vision changes. Do not intentionally exceed prescribed dosing. If an overdose is suspected, call emergency services or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.

Storage

Store at room temperature in a dry place away from excessive heat and moisture. Keep in the original container, tightly closed, and out of reach of children and pets. Do not freeze. Safely discard expired tablets.
